2018 TABB All Stars
Dear TABB Parents,
It’s that time of year we begin our All-Star selection process. Over many years, TABB has developed a fine tradition and respect for our post-season results. Our All-Star teams have been very competitive, often against leagues as much as four times our size. If you would like your child to be considered for All-Star Participation, please review the information below and return the consent form no later than April 21, 2018.
TABB hopes to have 7 All-Star Teams participating in sanction play in 2018. Participating in All-Stars requires significant time commitment, from June until the end of sanction play (possibly into August 2018), and often daily practice schedules. Family members or friends of Mustang and Bronco players that have All-Star sanction games at TABB are required to participate in Snack Shack and hosting duties.
All-Star teams are composed of selected players from a pool of manager-nominated players based on who submits their name for consideration. Players must be able to provide proof of residency (utility bill) within the TABB appointed boundaries and a valid copy of a birth certificate.
Bronco All-Stars:
2 Teams/ 12 players each:
12 year olds
11 year olds
Mustang All-Stars:
2 Teams/ 12 players each:
10 year olds
9 year olds
Pinto All-Stars:
2 Teams/ 12 players each:
8 year olds
7 year olds
Shetland All-Stars:
1 Team / 12 players
All-Star Play Rules Highlights
No minimum play rules that govern All-Star play.
9 batters and player substitution rules are stricter than regular season play.
Playing time is earned based on skill and rest requirements.
Some players may sit out an entire game and have very little actual play time
All players will enjoy the benefit of extensive practice and coaching.
We are asking all parents of players to sign a consent and availability form, to ensure that the composition of the teams do not suffer due to players being unavailable after being All-Star nominated. Please complete the consent form and return to your manager. If you would like your child to be available for All-Star nomination, please provide us with uniform sizes.
Please be advised that no player will be considered for All-Star selection if this form is not returned to the All-Star Committee before April 21, 2018. Forms can be turned in at the Snack Bar or to your manager.
